Unlike traditional bolt-on units or velcro cards, the MP system is optimally engineered with a 2-piece modular design to provide a low-profile, Quick Detach, duty-grade solution for all scenarios.

The Rigid Shell Card Evolution

Many shotgunners in the past have opted for a velcro shotgun shell card system, which can lose elasticity and are susceptible to degradation, getting clogged with mud and water in harsh environments.  Additionally, the shell card is difficult to consistently mount at the same angle, making repetition reloading training difficult.

The Rx Arms QD Shell Carrier System combines the convenience of a removable shell card with the rigidity and durability of a hard-mounted shell carrier. Instead of hook-and-loop attachment, the shell holder uses a duty-grade 7075-T6 Aluminum mechanical retention interface for secure, repeatable engagement and a smooth release.  Additionally, our unit can be operated almost silently, compared to the loud sound of velcro detaching.

Our Multi-Platform QD Shell Carrier System is a professional-grade shotgun side saddle engineered to outperform traditional hardware-mounted units and soft-shell cards. By separating the mounting interface from the shell carrier body, we’ve created a shotgun shell carrier that is as versatile as it is durable.

• Quick Detach (QD) Capability: Our patent pending two-piece design features a low-profile 7075-T6 aluminum mounting plate and a detachable shotshell holder body. When the unit is removed, the plate leaves a slim, no-snag profile of just 0.30″, making it the most streamlined shotgun shell holder on the market.
• Rigid Impact Protection: Unlike elastic shotgun shell cards, this rigid shot shell carrier protects your spare ammunition from side impacts and deformation, ensuring every round feeds reliably when it matters most.
• Dual-Strip Retention: Our proprietary rubber-blend dual retention strips ensure a rock-solid grip on your shells with a smooth pull, in all weather conditions. For most users, our shotshell holder retention system will withstand a lifetime of use, and while you are unlikely to ever need them, we include a complimentary spare set for long-term peace of mind.
• Tool-Less Takedown: Traditional shotgun side saddle mounts require removing trigger group bolts (Mossberg 590, Remington 870, etc.). The Rx Arms system allows you to leave OEM pins in place, meaning you no longer need tools to field strip your firearm.
• Aerospace-Grade Mounting: The mounting plate attaches via 3M™ Very High Bond (VHB) technology. Certified for the aerospace and transportation industries to replace rivets and welds, this interface removes impact stress from your receiver threads and trigger group screws, and further, eliminates over-tightening of trigger group screws, which are common failure points in other shotgun shell carrier designs.  The 3M VHB is pre-applied to the mounting plate for easy user installation.
• Storage & Transport optimized: Easily stow your shotgun in a crowded safe by removing the QD shotgun shell carrier body; no bulky hardware sticking off the side. Once detached, the polymer shell holder body is sized to fit into most standard AR-15 magazine pouches.

NOTE FOR CERAKOTE FINISHES: While the 3M VHB we utilize is specifically chosen for its excellent bonding to Low Surface Energy (LSE) finishes like Cerakote, we recommend a specific preparation step. To ensure the strongest possible bond for your shotgun shell carrier mounting plate, we suggest using a Scotch-Brite™ pad to lightly “scuff” the mounting area prior to application.

NOTE ON DUAL RETENTION STRIPS: Our proprietary rubber retention strips perform best after a few reloads, as the rubber gets worn in.

The Science of 3M™ VHB™ (Very High Bond)

The Rx Arms QD Side Saddle system uses 3M™ VHB double sided tape, a closed-cell acrylic foam adhesive used in the aerospace and transportation industries to replace rivets and welds.

• • Chemical & Solvent Resilience: Independent lab testing demonstrates 98% to 100% adhesive retention even after 72-hour continuous immersion in the following:
    • Lubricants & Oils: 100% retention (10W30 Motor Oil, Hydraulic Fluid).
    • Fuels: 98% retention (Gasoline, Kerosene, Jet Fuel).
    • Environmental: 100% retention (Salt Water, Isopropyl Alcohol, Glycol Antifreeze).
  • Thermal Resilience: Tested to maintain a high-strength bond in temperatures as high as 300°F (149°C) and as low as -30°F (-34°C).  This VHB tape will continue to perform reliably, in the hottest deserts and the coldest winters.
  • Non-Destructive Removal: While the bond is rated for permanent industrial use, it is non-marring. If you choose to remove the system, the adhesive can be removed without damaging the original finish of your receiver.
  • Instant Bond: 50% strength immediately, with 100% strength achieved after 72 hours.

QD Side Saddle Shell Carrier MP Specs:

• Designed and tested specifically for compatibility with popular shotgun receivers such as the Benelli M4, Beretta 1301, Beretta A300, Mossberg 590, Mossberg 500, Maverick 88, Remington 870, Keltec KSG.  Also compatible with many if not all shotgun receivers.
• The mounting plate is made from 7075-T6 annodized Type III mil spec.  The latch from 7075-T6 annodized Type III mil spec.  The Shell Carrier is injection molded with high glass content, high-performance impact resistant polymers.
