Benelli M4 Charging Handle 7075 Aluminum Steel

The Rx Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle is a direct replacement for the the Benelli M4 OEM charging handle. The OEM handle is small, and difficult to handle during high stress situations.  So I designed what I believe to be one of the best all around charging handles on the market with the Benelli M4 Titanium Charging Handle.  However, the use of titanium comes at financial premium.  We’ve taken the same design to make a 7075 Aluminum Steel version which features a 7075-T6 handle fused with a hardened stainless steel pin, creating in essence a 1pc charging handle.  This version features the same Anti-Spin, Locking Design of the Titanium handle, with the same reliability and longevity that my customers have come to enjoy.

The Rx Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle 7075 Aluminum weight ranges from 10-12 grams for the 0.55″ or 0.75″ handle size.  The same or lighter than the OEM steel handle while providing a much bigger gripping surface.  Some manufactures produce charging handles that are upwards of 28 grams or more.  The risk in this heavy of a handle, is failure or breakage, due to the whipping effect of the bolt cycling.  The handles also feature a “volcano” style knurl to reduce sharpness on skin

7075-T6 aluminum is superior in every way to 6061-T6 with 185% more tensile strength, 182% more yield strength, 160% more shear strength and 158% harder.

Benelli M4 Charging Handle 7075 Aluminum Steel Specs:

  • Rx Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle 7075 Aluminum Version is specifically designed and tested for the Benelli M4 / M1014.
  • Rx Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle is much larger than the factory Benelli M4 Charging Handle, giving the shooter more area and confidence to rack the gun.
  • The Volcano Knurl gives superior grip while avoiding too sharp of edges to cut the skin.
  • Material: Rx Arms Benelli M4 charge handle is made from 7075-T6 Aluminum with a hardened stainless steel pin.  The hardened stainless steel pin ensures no deformation will take place when interacting with the detent ball in the bolt assembly.
  • Rx Arms Benelli M4 Charging handle features an Anti Spin, Locking design.  Once inserted, it locks into place and resists rotation.
  • The finish is Mil Spec Type III hard coat annodized black.

Why Upgrade The OEM Benelli M4 Charging Handle?

A question I see a lot online, is why bother upgrading the OEM charging handle at all?  While the original design is a classic look, the size can be impractical if using an aftermarket bolt release mod such as my Benelli M4 Bolt Release Tab.  Although it can work, typically, with an aftermarket bolt release tab, the OEM charging handle doesn’t have enough clearance to comfortably rack the gun, while avoiding clipping the bolt release with your fingers.  The clearance the Rx Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle provides, greatly improves the confidence with which you can rack the bolt, knowing that your fingers are in the clear.

    I am a few months overdue to write this review for this superlative product.

    The fit, finish and function on these all-steel charging handles are absolutely flawless:

    1. The part drops right in to my Benelli M4 SBS.

    2. The knurling is just right, not too deep and not too shallow; and gives a positive grip in all weather conditions without tearing up your fingers or gloves.

    3. Unlike other charging handles on the market, these have the detents that lock the handle and prevent it from rolling 360 degrees (and right out of your fingers).

    4. The clearances are perfect. This charging handle will not rub against or gouge your receiver like some by TT.

    5. I have both the titanium head and all steel charging handles by Rx. I bought the all-steel one as a (lower cost) back-up in case I were to do something to fumble and lose the titanium one in the field.

    6. The finish on these is flawless. It is uniformly applied and matte (non-reflective), and is extremely durable. I’ve handled mine a lot in the past 3 months and there is zero wear or shiny spots to the high points of the knurling.

    7. The overall design is subdued and practical, not blingy. The ergonomics are just right for quick, snag-free access and solid grasp without excess mass.

    8. The installation and removal is quick and easy (just push and twist to install, and twist and pull to remove) and yet the retention into the receiver when installed is rock solid. These are all testaments to the precision machining on this part.

    9. These have a uni-body design, machined from one piece of steel, so there are zero worries with this assembly coming apart.

    This is without any doubt, in my opinion, one of the very best charging handle upgrades you can buy for the Benelli M4, and second only to Rx’s titanium charging handle, which shaves off some weight.

    It is money well spent, for me, with zero buyers remorse, and a top quality, affordable backup.

    I highly recommend this product.

      I’ve tried to contact you regarding the fit on the clone to see what the issue was. But I do make these handles tight tolerance for the Benelli M4. Some clone manufacturers tolerances do not match the Benelli sometimes.

    I have a clone Benelli M4 and it does not fit in there the end is a v and this has a spot hole on each side to fit, too bad for I love the way it looks,

      Hey Michal, after communicating with you via email, the charge handle does insert into the bolt just fine on the clone, but is hard to remove. This is an intentional design to keep the charge handle in place. Thanks!
