Rx Arms Solutions Benelli M4 6 position recoil tube fully compatible with the Legacy Benelli M4/M1014 Collapsible Stock (Benelli 70085), and a replacement part for the fixed stock, and field stock. A direct replacement for Benelli 70130 for the enhancement, service and maintenance of M4/M1014 Law Enforcement shotguns. CNC precision machined from 4140 Hardened Steel. This will allow you to install the Benelli M4 Collapsible Stock in 6 positions instead of 3 as per OEM Benelli M4 Recoil Tube. Featuring engraved stock positions for easy reference LOP, heat treated notches, and finished in a custom Aluminum Titanium Nitride PVD surface treatment. The Rx Arms Benelli M4 Cheek Riser offers additional fine tuning of cheek weld when using the 6 position recoil tube, and optics.

- Material: Rx Arms Benelli M4 6 Position Recoil Tube is CNC precision made from 4140 Hardened Steel bar stock.
- Heat Treated Notches: A critical aspect of our offering, computer precision heat treating on the notches. This brings the sub surface hardness of the notches as high as 52-55RC. This eliminates operational damage or peening on the notches from firing the gun, or from butt stock strikes.
- The finish is a custom Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) PVD surface finish.

OEM Benelli M4 Recoil Tube (Benelli 70130, Benelli 70043) Benelli M4 Collapsible Stock Length Of Pull
The OEM stock Benelli M4 recoil tube for the Benelli M4 Collapsible Stock has limited length of pull (LOP).
- Position “1” with Benelli M4 Collapsible Stock, is too short to be practical for real world use. Measuring at 9 3/8″ LOP. The only use for this position is storage.
- Position “2”, or the mid way point, is around 12 3/8″ LOP. This can be a good length when wearing some thicker clothing, but for the majority, it is usually too short for thin cloths.
- Position “3” with the Benelli M4 Collapsible Stock jumps to 14 1/4″ LOP. This length can be too long for shorter to average height shooters. In reality, most shooters would prefer a length of pull in the middle. This is where the Benelli M4 6 Position Recoil Tube comes in.

- Position “1” is measured at 9 3/8″ LOP.

The workmanship of the RXArms Recoil Tube is very good. My OEM Recoil Tube was stuck with a large amount of red Loctite and it was a real struggle to loosen it (an hour with a heat gun did nothing). In the end only a propane torch in combination with a pliers wrench worked. Unfortunately, when I first installed the RXArms Recoil Tube, the alignment of the buttstock did not meet my requirements, even though I had tested it beforehand. The red Loctite had hardened in combination with the primer in 5 minutes. To correct this, I had to heat it up again and repeat the procedure, which didn’t work without leaving tool marks on the new Recoil tube. I would have expected the aluminium titanium nitride PVD to be a bit more robust, but I’m not an expert on coatings. In the future I think I would go for blue Loctite. Robb’s customer service is excellent, thanks again for the tips.

PVD surface finish is great for corrosion protection and micro hardness, although it is hard, it is only microns thick, using hand tools on the surface with pressure, are likely to marr it. Quality of the RX Arms tube is top notch. Would recommend to every Ben M4 owner. I’m not a big guy so notch number 5 was perfect for me. Followed the instructions, but didn’t have torch so had to settle for heat gun. Temps reached around 350 eventually. Cracking the nut off wasn’t too bad with a 27mm wrench, but that tube was fighting me the whole way. Got to where my 19mm wrench was slipping so I switched to two Crescent wrenches with one of them being a vise crescent. Turning two wrenches from opposite sides seemed to balance out the force better but it was still slow going. Clocking it properly during the install was tricky as the thing turns a little as it’s tightened throwing off the angle. Would have helped to have a helper hold the tube steady while I tightened down the nut.

As for the colour, it was never my intent to match any specific colour on the shotgun, the OEM recoil tube is grey tube, ours is darker grey/black. The PVD coating gives the attributes I wanted, and the darker grey/black colour was a nice side effect.

I have previously used the Regal Metal Works 5 position and the Briley 6 position recoil tubes. The RMW was pretty rough quality and the positions not in very helpful spots. The Briley tube looked great, but did not have proper heat treat and the stock position peened out with use until it was jammed inside my stock.
So far the RX Arms tube has been clean operating, looking good and lasting through lots of slug/buckshot loads.

I cannot comment on the ease of installation as I took it to a gun-smith for that, I can comment that when it came time to use it at a range, it functioned flawlessly, handling the stress of high-brass 000 buck without any visible wear.
It was a little stiff to change the stock position at first, but I attribute that more to the stock than this item. And honestly after 5-6 times deploying it it was buttery smooth.
Cannot recommend this enough, very reasonably priced, very fast shipping and is a dream to use.

If your benelli has red locktite then expect to pay a gunsmith for labor or risk replacing it yourself. It will take a considerable amount of time or money. (This is not a fault to RXARMS)
The product provided from RXARMS has 3 more positions than the LE and 5 more than the nuetured recoil rod. Fitment is great except there’s a bit of play in relation of the stock to the recoil rod. This has not been a problem so far. Overall I’d recommend this product for anyone with a nuetured benelli m4. If there’s red locktite, I’d recommend paying a gunsmith.

Awesome fab work and the install instructions really helped. Probably the hardest part was heating up the oem tube. The lock nut did not take as long to loosen. I was using a heat gun, pretty much set to max. Doing a ‘dry fit’ and using some measurements and markings, helped get the new tube situated so that the stock fully collapsed and was properly aligned once you got the thread locker on there. Good job!

Even though my purchase was a blem, it was still really clean and well machined. Assembly was easy and straightforward, and having six positions instead of just three is so much better for situational changes

I bought the blemished m4 recoil tube since it doesnt matter unless you gun is a wall hanger. For the life of me I don’t know why these are sold as blemishes. It looks and works great!

The Tubes finish is slightly different from factory in “color”. But it’s not an OEM tube, it’s not going to be perfect. Outside of that, you can’t tell it’s not a genuine Benelli part once mounted unless it’s side by side with an original tube.
The 6 positions are also perfect for people with multiple LOPs like spouses, kids, etc. And it still collapses fully as well for ease of storage/carry.
Shipping was also uncannily fast, even ordering from the US and having to go through customs I had it within 2 weeks.

Excellent product and well-made. Finish looks completely OEM Benelli. Both OEM part and RX part have a certain amount of slop or play… Possibly a little more with the RX Arms, but for the benefit of more adjustments, it is well worth that slight difference.

Well worth the 5 stars. I purchased a blem tube but it was still a nice looking part. As a former machinist, I can see the blem but honestly most people wouldn’t notice unless you show them. Shipping was quick to the states too. Unfortunately, I can’t use the tube with the aftermarket adjustable stock I purchased. The stock (made by Panzer) requires more threads than the OEM stock to install the grip but this is my fault for not doing more research. I’ll just have to wait until i find an OEM stock and hope it doesn’t cost a fortune.
